Prepper’s Natural Medicine: Life-Saving Herbs, Essential Oils and Natural Remedies for When There is No Doctor
Prepper’s Natural Medicine: Life-Saving Herbs, Essential Oils and Natural Remedies for When There is No Doctor
Paperback 234 pg
Cat Ellis
If you are looking for a good resource on natural medicine from a preparedness prespective, then Prepper’s Natural Medicine is just the book you need. The author, Cat Ellis, is a practicing herbalist, teacher and a member of the American Herbalists Guild. Cat is also a dedicated prepper who hosts the “Herbal Prepper Live” internet radio show and has a website called The Herbal Prepper.
There is a tremendous amount of information packed into this 234 page book. It is written in a concise, easy to understand manner. Whether you are new to herbal medicine or have some experience with it, there is valuable information to be gleaned. If you are completely inexperienced, this book will walk you through the basics and teach you how to become a proficient user of herbal medicine. The book can be used as a stand alone manual and is small enough to easily store in a backpack, first aid kit, or even a large coat pocket. I was very impressed with the detail and completeness of such a relatively small book. Cat Ellis is a gifted teacher and her explanations are easy to understand, while at the same time being complete and useful. In the genre of SHTF herbal medicine, these qualities are as rare as hen’s teeth!
In this book you will learn about…
Herbs, and their uses and culture
What equipment and supplies you should have on hand
How to store and rotate ingredients
How to make tinctures
How to make herbal infusions
How to make herbal salves
How to make herbal teas
How to make herbal wines
How to make an herbal first aid kit
How to use essential oils
How to treat wounds, snake bites, bruises, sprains, sour throats, urinary tract infections, trauma, respiratory infections, poison ivy, broken bones, internal bleeding, ear infections, diarrhea, headaches, and much, much more!
With the future as uncertain as it is and when a trip to the doctors ends up with you answering questions like “Do you own firearms?”, this book is very good investment. It’s cheap insurance and valuable information for the preservation of your family’s health and well being.
